Fans are urged to use public transit. The Armory is very accessible by public transportation from the major hubs in the city. The A & C trains both stop at the 168th station along with the 1 line. The A is the express line, making stops in Lower Manhattan (including Penn Station, Times Square and Columbus Circle), before jetting directly toward the Washington Heights area. The C train serves more local stops and takes longer to make its way to 168th. The 1 line has a slightly different path along the west side of the City, but ends up in the same place. The 4-5-6 lines, which serve the Upper East Side, all stop at Grand Central Station, which is a short and interesting walk down 42nd Street to the Times Square stops for the A, C and 1 trains.
