| Overview: | The East Coast Athletic Conference has nearly 200 members in Division III alone, making the championships among the largest such meet in the nation. The Division III Indoors have been contested, both men’s and women’s, since the mid-1980s. |
| Eligibility: | The NCAA Division III teams that comprise the membership of the East Coast Athletic Conference. |
| Origin: | The ECAC was founded as the central office for Eastern athletics in 1938, although some of the affiliate single-sport programs — the IC4A is an example — have been active for much longer. |
