Jesse Owens Votes Online

Online voting for the 2011 Jesse Owens Athlete of the Year Award has begun with 18 stars of track & field on the ballot. The Owens Award — established in 1981 — is USA Track & Field’s highest honor and for the third straight year in a row, fans have the opportunity to help select the winners.
The online fan balloting will account for 10 percent of the vote, but the deadline is almost upon us. You must cast you vote before midnight Friday
This year's awards will be presented at the Jesse Owens Awards and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Dec. 3. That event is held in conjunction with USA Track & Field's 2011 Annual Meeting in St. Louis, Mo. (Nov. 30-Dec. 4).
