Armory Cross Country Calendar Features

Charting The Courses

This weekend several new calendar features have been rolled out here at ArmoryTrack.com. The events are now much richer in content and there are ways that you can help promote your event and your sport.

Now if you click on an event, it will take you to a specific event page, which gives more detail on the location, including a link to a venue page with an integrated Google map. Also any official website with additional details, if we could find it, can be accessed from the event page.

If you are a meet director, take a look at the Chittenango Invitational as an example of the possibility. If you set up your meet information in a similar text format and send it to armory@armorytrack.com, we can do the rest.

You can also make your venue page much more vibrant — as The Armory's Tim Fulton did with Van Cortlandt Park — by laying out the course and other pertinent information (mile markers, restroom facilities, parking locations, restaurants, etc.) on Google maps and sending us that link as well.

This also lays out perfectly on mobile devices, so make sure fans can get to your event easily by making sure that the best information is online. There is much more to come as the new ArmoryTrack.com matures, but this will get the cross country lovers started.
