Steve Underwood of DyeStat ESPN Rise has released his picks for the top high school girls' cross country runners in the nation and no fewer than 10 come from within the Armory Region.

Three of them were participants in the Foundation Running Camp last week and the nation's No. 7 runner, Samantha Nadel of North Shore High, provided daily coverage of the experience. Joining her in the photo above were No. 22 Kelsey Margey of Friends Academy and No. 25 Brianna Nerud, Nadel's teammate at North Shore.

Three of Underwood's top 25 come from the nation's top team — Fayetteville-Manlius. That includes No. 11 Jillian Fleming, No. 12 Christie Rutledge and No. 16 Katie Sischo. F-M and North Shore are the only program in the nation with more than a single runner in the top 25.

The remaining four are No. 4 Haley Pierce of Wilmington (Del.) Tatnall; No. 15 Mary Cain of Bronxville (N.Y.); No. 21 Megan Lacy of Marlton (N.J.) Cherokee; and No. 24 Lauren Mullins of Johnson City (N.Y.).
