Armory Launch
Armory Track

Welcome To Our New Home

posted on 7/31/2011

Welcome to the independent ArmoryTrack.com, which is committed to serving your track and field needs. This new ArmoryTrack will be a bit of a departure from what you have come to know. A focus indeed remains on high school track in the state and the city, but the site will also deliver a broader look at track and field, including both the colleges and the pros. There will also be new initiatives in the coverage of events within the New Balance Track & Field Center.

While readers can take advantage of applications for a heightened user experience on mobile devices as well as deeply integrated social media options, the lead up to the 2011-12 Armory season will also serve witness to the launch of a number of new and exciting features.

"The Armory's mission has long been to reach and serve young athletes regionally and at times nationally through competitive track and field activities," said Dr. Norbert Sander, president of the Armory Foundation. "We felt a deep need to use our web presence to establish greater outreach and engagement by providing a greater focus on the programs specific to the Armory. We are certain that that will come through as you watch the new ArmoryTrack.com develop."

The new site — designed and developed by HepsTrack, LLC — will grow with its readership, as it also promises to serve the interests of a more varied audience than ever before, from athlete to coach to parent to fan to media to sponsor. The site will also strive to be feedback friendly as its features are actively being refined and, thus, subject to change based on user analytics and feedback.

ArmoryTrack.com will become home to collaborative innovations that will result from partnerships, initially with primary sponsors New Balance and the New York Road Runners, and later with others.

For now, please take a good look at the site, visit The Armory Facebook and Twitter pages and take a look at the new YouTube channel. So sit back and watch us grow... or better, yet, jump in and join us.
