Gregg Armstrong Armory Track
Miles of Smiles
by Brett Hoover — posted on 1/22/2012
Tim Fulton of The Armory has released the 2012 Millrose Mile fields, sponsored by New Balance, and both races will be great spectator events on the night of Feb. 11.
The girls' field is perhaps the strongest in Millrose Games' history with five qualifiers — Samantha Nadel, Laura Leff, Mary Cain, Kelsey Margey and Megan Moye — all running sub-4:50 at The Armory this winter. And that doesn't include well-known locals like Rachel Paul, Brianna Nerud and Alexis Panisse.
The top nine entrants on the boys' side are separated by a mere three seconds in their qualifying times with Zavon Watkins leading the way. His list of challengers include Mike Marsella, Ned Willig, Christian Delago, Everett Price, Konrad Surkont and Stephen Lewandowski.
These will be 'can't-miss' races at the 2012 Millrose Games and an ever-shrinking number of tickets remain. Click here to join the fun.
