A LOOK BACK

Feb. 12 — Staten Island Championships
The Port Richmond girls dominated the meet, beating Curtis 160-106. Shi Anne Humes and Yazmin Wilson-Jones placed 1-2 in the 300-meter dash with times of 41.24 and 41.54. Port Richmond's depth carried them through the relays, which it swept. The boys' meet was a similar affair as MSIT downed Curtis, 168-102. MSIT has a very large team and its numbers proved to be a huge advantage once again. More from the New York Post.

Feb. 13 — Manhattan Championships
The girls' meet was a pretty close one as Health Professionals beat Stuyvesant, 109-89, carried by its distance squad. The boys of Stuyvesant once again captured the team title — this time 188 to 63 over Hunter College High School. More from the New York Post.

Feb. 14 — Bronx Championships
Bronx Science and Harry S Truman staged a battle for the boys team title with Science getting the edge, 112-89. How'd Science win? How about 31 points in the 3,200-meter run. The Dewitt Clinton girls beat Bronx Science, 130-98, to secure the title. More from the New York Post.

Feb. 19 — Brooklyn Championships
The Brooklyn Tech girls beat Medgar Evers by a mere seven points, 109 to 102. The 1,500-meter was a major swing event for Tech as it placed 1-2-4 and scored 22 points with Winny Chey and Anne Laure White let the way in 5:03.22 and 5:06.33. More from the New York Post.

Feb. 20 — Queens Championships
Alexis Panisse led her Benjamin Cardozo team to victory when she ran 1:32.05 for the 600m dash, which is ranked third in the nation this season. The Francis Lewis boys took the team title by a 98-71 count over Bayside. More from the New York Post.
