The Georgetown women's team earned its seventh Big East Indoor Track & Field Championship title on Sunday, using the final events of the weekend — the 4x4 and 4x8 relays — to clinch victory. While the Hoyas finished with 102 points, the Notre Dame men scored 131 points to win their second team title in the last three years. The Irish now have five titles since 2003.

The Georgetown women were led by junior Emily Infeld, who won two individual events and anchored the distance medley relay which broke the meet record (11:08.19). She won the mile with a time of 4:43.57 and the 3,000m run with a 9:39.39 mark.

Cincinnati women scored 90 points to secure a second-place finish over Villanova by a mere half point. The Bearcats' second place is their best finish at the Championships. Senior Kathy Klump set meet records in the 500m dash (1:10.08) and the 800m run (2:05.47). Versatile Jasmine Cotten won the pentathlon, was second in the long jump and earned six points with a fourth-place finish in the high jump.

Villanova sophomore Emily Lipari took first-place honors in the 1,000m and anchored the winning 4x800m relay. Junior Bogdana Mimic earned 10 team points on Saturday with a victory in the 5,000m run.

Notre Dame junior Nevada Sorenson won the 60m hurdles for the Irish, which finished fourth with 79 points. Other winners on Sunday included Syracuse senior Flings Owusu-Agyapong in the 60m dash (7.46), Pittsburgh senior Cambrya Jones in the 200m dash (23.47) and freshman Taylor Ellis-Watson in the 400m dash (53.82). UConn sophomore high jumper Ilva Bikanova captured first with a leap of 5-10. USF — seventh overall — took the top spots in the triple jump as Sophomore Marqueshia Stallworth finished first at 41-9 1/4 while Monique Williams finished in second (41-7 3/4).

On the men's side, Notre Dame was led to victory by junior Jeremy Rae, who took first in the mile (4:05.48). Sophomore Patrick Feeney won the 400m dash (46.97).

UConn was second with 103 points as the Huskies went first and third in the heptathlon. Junior Jake Waruch set a meet record with 5,497 points while junior Jesse Chapman was third (5,184). Junior Tim Bennatan won the 1,000m run (2:29.96) as classmate Noel James took first place in the high jump with a clearance of 7-2 1/4.

Pittsburgh finished third with 84 1/2 points and had the star of the show as sophomore sprinter Brycen Spratling won both the 200m and 500m dashes. With a time of 1:00.63 in the 500, he set a collegiate record.

USF — which was fifth with 75 1/2 points — took the top two spots in the 60m dash with sophomore Lindsey Lamar winning in 6.78 followed by junior Kayvon Webster (6.83).

Rutgers took the top two spots in the triple jump led by junior Adam Bergo, who won with a leap of 49-9 3/4, about five inches in front of senior Tyrone Putman.

DePaul senior Tim Nedow set a meet record the shot put with a mark of 67-3 1/2. Nedow hit the Olympic A standard with that heave and is in position to represent Canada in London.

Other winners included Marquette junior Kyle Winter in 800m run (1:52.99), David McCarthy of Providence in the 3k (meet-record 7:57.50) and Syracuse senior Jarret Eaton in the 60m hurdles (meet-record 7.70). Also joining the meet record fun was the Rutgers' 4x400m relay (3:10.33).
