Armory College Prep

Students Studying at Armory Prep

Armory College Prep — now in its 10th year — serves New York City high school students in need of a helping hand to realize their full potential. This year more than 250 students will receive the academic support, individual counseling and encouragement necessary to gain admission to college and a clear picture of how to pay for it.

At Armory College Prep students apply the skills they acquire as athletes — discipline, dedication and hard work — to overcome the hurdles they face on the path to academic and social success, resulting in benefit to both themselves and their communities.

The 2013-14 Armory Prep program will offer the following services:

SAT Prep Classes
Khan Academy Building Academic Skills
Financial Aid Counseling
College Counseling
Paid Application Fees
College Visits and Tours
College Personal Essay Writing Coaching
Athletic Coaching
Individual Tutoring
Acting Classes
Great Books Reading Program

New York Health & Racquet Club (NYHRC) is proud to become the Official Sports Club Sponsor of the Armory. NYHRC will contribute funds to New York City high school student-athletes in need of a helping hand via the Armory’s “Apply Yourself” program, which pays college application fees for students involved with its Armory College Prep Program.

Armory College Prep is open to students who train and at The Armory. Those interested in the program are encouraged to contact Natasha Carr, by stopping by the Classroom 2 Everywhere on the first floor of The Armory, by email natasha@armorytrack.com or by phone [212.923.1803 x7080].
