over a month ago, and will await the showdown on Wednesday.

However, don’t be surprised if they take it all on Wednesday.

5. Spellman:       Being #5 ain’t too bad when 6 make the garden.

6. Kellenberg:    ran 4:23. Can run a lot faster.

7. St. Anthonys: Will try to qualify from the second heat again!

Week 5
Rankings Update   1/1/01

2. St. Joes Sea:      Relaxing with a 4:03 and waiting for the trials.

3. Loughlin:           Who knows which is better: soph. 4x400 or varsity? Both real good!

4. Sacred Heart:     Taking a vacation in Orlando with Mickey!

5. Spellman:           4:16 may be good enough to get in this year!

6. Sub 4:20 may get in the 1st heat. However, it may be a wiser decision to try to qualify from the second heat “ala” St. Anthony’s 99, and Kellenberg 2000.

Best bet for #6: St. Anthony’s or Kellenberg

Preseason Poll:

1. Holy Trinity:  A healthy Shana Cox??  If so, could be the first

win for Holy Trinity Girls at the Garden.

2. St Joe’s Sea: Entire relay returning from last years 1st place

                                    finish at outdoor CHSAA champs.

3. Sacred Heart:            Having 2 studs in Caitlin Paul and Kate Lawson

will contend them for the title

5. Kellenberg:    Shenae Henry and cast will look to give Coach

Brown his first girls Millrose Championship.

6. Loughlin:       Tradition, tradition tradition! (Enough said)

7. St. Anthony’s: Its not the DMR or 4x800, but they’ll figure out

something to secure a spot at the Garden.

8. Notre Dame: Can Oliveri and Tormey turn that good 800 and

mile speed into a solid 400?

9. St. Francis:    A too well rounded team not to be put in the mix!

10. Villa:                       Great numbers and performances in XC should

lead to some good performances at the Armory.

Other teams to consider:

Bishop Ford

Molloy
