New Yorkers earn tickets to San Diego
The
stage was set for a rematch fans have been waiting all
season for - Aislinn Ryan vs. Nicole Blood. It was
something we saw 6 times last year - spoiling us I
guess. This time it was Blood over Ryan, 17:42 -
17:50. Blood ran the exact same time to win last
year. And for those who think Ryan looked a little
sluggish, what should be scary for her competitors is
that she only ran 3 seconds slower this year.
NY showed their
amazing depth again with 7 of the 10 tickets to San
Diego going to them and NJ proved they're pretty good
too with two spots to them.
As
for the boys, it was hard to tell just how good the Taye
brothers were coming in, but 15:21 and 15:29 proved they
are legit. Noel Bateman stepped up big time after
skipping NY Feds last weekend. Greg Kelsey also
had a big race. Connecticut is sending two runners
and Tradelle Ward makes it two runners from Griswald in
the last three years as well as having this years first
non-qualifier, the same spot Ward was in last year.
