For awhile, Colonie's Kyle Audi (8th Grader!) had run the fastest Freshman time in 17 years at VCP. His time of 8:08.88 bettered John Trautman's long standing record of 8:10.4 (1982). The fame was short lived, as Sayville's Brian Dalpaiz ran a blistering 8:03.0 in the very next race!
