A. VARSITY BOYS RACE - 2 1/2 miles -7 races 1 TEAM PER SCHOOL
B . JV BOYS RACE - 2 1/2 miles -4 races UNLIMITED ENTRY
C. SOPHOMORE BOYS RACE - 2 1/2 miles -3 races UNLIMITED ENTRY
D. FRESHMAN BOYS RACE - 1 1/2 miles - 5 races UNLIMITED ENTRY
E. INTERMEDIATE BOYS RACE (Grades 7-8) - 1 1/2 miles - I race UNLIMITED ENTRY
F . VARSITY GIRLS RACE - 2 1/2 miles - 6 races 1 TEAM PER SCHOOL
    (1) Eastern States Championship Section - I race
    (2) Varsity Section - 5 races
G. JV GIRLS RACE - 2 1/2 miles -2 races UNLIMITED ENTRY
H . INTERMEDIATE GIRLS RACE (Grades 7-8) - 1 1/2 miles - I race

ENTRY FEES: $17.50 per team in all Races - $ 3.50 per individual in Intermediate Races.

$3.50 per Individual Entry Fee permitted ONLY in Intermediate Races. $17.50 Fee is required in all other divisions, even if you plan to run an incomplete team. Check or Voucher Must accompany entry blank.  

This is an Entry Fee, Not a Participation Fee.

RULES: This meet has all appropriate sanctions.

        I.  Coaches: Bring Safety Pins & Pencils for writing (in case of rain)
        2. No entrant who has reached his/her nineteenth birthday (19) before July 1, 1999 shall be   eligible to run.

3.. Any freshman who is sixteen (16) before July 1, 1999 will be ineligible for the Freshman Race. Only Ninth Graders may compete in the Freshman Race. Boys/Giris re ating the Ninth Grade are ineligible for the Freshman Race.

4. A school must run its best 7 runners in the Varsity Race. However, a sophomore who might be one of the 7 best is still allowed to run in the Sophomore Race.

5. Definition of Sophomore: In tenth grade for first time and second year of high School after leaving 8th grade. A freshman MAY NOT run in the Sophomore Race.

         6. Schools MUST supply their own SAFETY PINS.

7. DISQUALIFICATION: A member of any team cutting the course will cause disqualification of his/her ENTIRE TEAM in that race.

8. If a school enters more than one team in the Sophomore, Junior Varsity, or Freshman Races, it must run its 7 BEST on the A team, next 7 on B team, etc.

            9. A school may enter the Sophomore Race without entering a Junior Varsity or Varsity team.

10. A school cannot compete in the JV Race unless it has run a complete team of 7 in the Varsity Race, both Boys and Girls.

11. Intermediate Race - No Team Scoring - Only 7 - 8th grades are eligible. Girls Must Represent the School They Attend and May Not Compete With a Club.

          12. Team Ties - highest 5th place finisher will be the Tie-Breaker.

PARKING: Broadway & 240th St. Lot- Open 7:00 AM pm race day.

UNLIMITED ENTRY means - TEAMS (NOT INDIVIDUALS) CANNOT RUN MORE THAN 7 ON A TEAM.

IMPORTANT NOTES: COACHES: Use PENCILS for scoring sheets in case of rain.  
BRING YOUR OWN SAFETY PINS. 

-In case of tie in team scoring, the highest 5th place finisher will break the tie.
-PLEASE do not run more than 7 competitors on a team.  It makes the scoring inaccurate--Disqualification results.
-Tell your athletes to stay in the chute until the ropes end.  Do not duck under the ropes.
-Do not run your team in the wrong race.
-IMPORTANT: If yo have more than one team in a particular division, e.g. 3 teams in Junior Varsity, make sure you run each team in the proper race.  Your JV "A" team could be in the "D" race, while your JV "C" team (third team) could be in the "A" race.  This is for proper seeding.
-The "BEST 7" rule in relation to Varsity and Junior Varsity will be strictly enforced.  This does NOT apply to the Sophomores. 
-Individual Medals - distributed in the chute after athletes cross the finish line.
-Team T-shirts, team Trophies, Team Watches, Team Medals, and Coaches' Jackets will be distributed to coaches as soon as race is scored.
-DO NOT ALLOW RUNNERS TO PLACE PINS IN THE HOLES OF THE RUNNING NUMBERS.  Please use two pins at the sides.  This facilitates ripping off the bottom portion in the chute. 
-Freshmen may NOT run in a Sophomore race.
