Jacob Wooten, a Texas A&M All-American and Nike professional athlete, placed second in the men's elite competition with a first-attempt clearance at 19-0.75 (5.81m), equaling his own world-leading mark at the UCS Spirit National Pole Vault Summit at the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center in Nevada. Wooten, who won the elite competition in Reno in 2020, was edged by French athlete Thibault Collet after he needed three attempts to clear 18-0.75 (5.51m). Collet cleared his opening four heights all on the first attempt.
