Mostly what is written here at ArmoryTrack.com details the exploits of folks who run for their high school or college as well as those who might get the chance to represent an entire nation at an international championship.

But running is for all and the Runner's World "I'm A Runner" series goes to show just that.

What started as an interview for the magazine has become a well-produced video interview for the website where you can learn a bit about celebrities who have adopted a running lifestyle.

There is funnyman Drew Carey, ready to run his first marathon in October, who jokes that he'd like to "get fit enough to be on the [magazine's] cover."

Red Hot Chili Peppers bass player Flea has taken to running, but says, "I would never listen to music when I run." Three-time Indianapolis 500 champion Helio Castroneves asserts that distance running is indeed harder than auto racing, while Health & Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius enjoys her running freedom from the Blackberry.

If you are a runner, you might want to consider trying your hand at the NYRR-sponsored Thursday Night at the Races series this winter. Those events — scheduled for 7 pm on the evenings of Jan. 5, Jan. 19, Feb. 9 and Feb. 23 — are open to all runners with just a $15 per person entry fee. Events range from 800 meters to two miles (plus some fun relays).
