Newbury Park CA senior Nico Young discusses his opportunity to compete against professional and collegiate athletes in the Dr. Sander men's 3,000-meter race at the 113th NYRR Millrose Games at The Armory in New York. Young, a Northern Arizona signee, is targeting both the national high school indoor record of 7:59.33 set in 2016 by Drew Hunter of Loudoun Valley VA and the American U-20 indoor record of 7:56.31 achieved in 2009 by Chris Derrick during his freshman season at Stanford.
