(2) Marcelo Mantecon, junior, Belen Jesuit FL - Won The Southern Showcase title in new 5k personal best time of 14:35.3. 4. (4) Oliver Horton, junior, Coronado CO - Lowered his 5k time down another nine seconds to 14:38.2 in recent Coronado Cougar Classic win. 5. (6) Noah Bontrager, senior, Westview IN - Won New Prairie Invitational title two weeks after running the fastest 5k cross country time in Indiana state history in 14:33.4 at Marion Invitational. 6. (7) Quentin Nauman, senior, Epworth Western Dubuque IA - Won Heartland Classic in 5k time of 15:01.1. 7. (8) Benjamin Adams, junior, Mountain Vista CO - Won Liberty Bell Invitational title in new 5k personal best of 14:32.3. 8. (10) Grady Lenn, senior, De Pere WI - Ran 5k season's best 14:46.8 to win Nightfall Classic 920 meet by over a minute. 11. (13) Malachi Schoenherr, senior, Sheldon OR - Won Northwest Classic 5k title in 15:00.7, setting himself up to be the favorite at Nike Portland XC on Saturday. 12. (12) Yohanes Van Meerten, junior, Flagstaff AZ - Has not raced since Sept. 5 at Western Equinox XC Invite. 13. (15) Hunter Robbie, senior, Niwot CO - Ran season's best 5k time of 15:19.7 to win St. Vrain Invitational title; racing at Desert Twilight on Saturday. 14. (20) Mikah Peters, senior, Brandon Valley SD - Finished second at Roy Griak in 15:44.3, continuing to show he's a name to be recognized on the national level. 15. (30) Luke Hnatt, senior, Christian Brothers NJ - Back to racing on Saturday at Bowdoin Classic after winning season opener at Shore Conference A North in 16:11 for 5k. 25. (41) Isaac Benjamin, senior, South Kitsap WA - Ran 9:39.5 for two-mile in season opener at SPSL North Jamboree on Sept. 10; returning to racing on Saturday at Nike Portland XC. 26.
