Boys Regional Rankings - 11/6/25 By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor All eyes will be on the NXR Heartland meet on Sunday at Yankton Trails Park in Sioux Falls, S.D., where the locals from Lincoln High will try to earn a second straight trip to Nike Cross Nationals. It's not going to be easy. Lincoln has some firepower up front but not a lot of depth if one of the top five should falter. Still, it remains the team most likley to finish in the top two of what could be a very competitive team race. Blue Valley Southwest lost the Kansas state title by two points to Kapaun Mount Carmel last weekend, but crunching the numbers and looking at how the meet went last year, it does appear that Blue Valley Southwest has a slight advantage. The team is solid through four and there will be pressure on the fifth man to come through. Minnesota champion Blaine and Wisconsin champion Stevens Point could also grab onto an NXN berth. In New York, Brighton has taken over the No. 1 spot from Saratoga Springs but the state has six or seven teams that could realistically perform well enough at the NXR New York/Federation meet to earn a spot a nationals. Christ School NC competed in North Carolina's private school state championships and put forth its best performance of the season. The team now appears to have top-five potential at nationals, but must get through a competitive Southeast region first. Belen Jesuit FL also put its best meet together at the FSU Pre-State and will be trying to get back to Portland. Niwot continued to impress in Colorado and remains the national favorite. In Utah, Herriman rallied past American Fork to win the state title by another narrow margin. In Idaho, on a fast state meet course, Coeur d'Alene had four of its five scorers reach the finish tape in less than 15 minutes. CALIFORNIA HEARTLAND MIDWEST NEW YORK NORTHEAST 1.
